Geneva County defeats Wicksburg behind three point shooting

HARTFORD, Ala (WDHN) — Geneva County hosted Wicksburg Tuesday night in inter-classification basketball match up.

The home Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead behind the efficient shooting from the perimeter. Leading that charge was senior, Colby Fuller, who hit multiple first half three point shots that would give the Bulldogs a double digit lead entering halftime.

In the second half, the hot shooting continued and other Bulldogs got in on the action.

Star guard, Emmanuel Henderson, also connected on multiple threes that really kept the Panthers out of it.

Geneva County led by double digits for majority of the game but Wicksburg would stick around with the help of guards Devontae White and Cole Arthur.

However, whenever the Panthers made a run to pull it within ten, the Bulldogs would respond with a run of their own.

Geneva County would go on to win this one 69-51.

Wicksburg’s next game will be on the road, next Monday, against Ariton.

Geneva County will be on the road as well, this Friday against the Dothan Wolves.
