Former Wallace CC baseball player signs with the Red Sox

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) —

A former Wallace Community College baseball player recently was signed to an MLB team.

Jacinto Arredondo has signed as an undrafted free agent to the Boston red sox.

Arredondo transferred to the University of Tampa after his sophomore season at Wallace.

The right hand pitcher came out of the pen for the Spartans and had a impressive era of 2.44.

During his time at Wallace, he pitched nearly 150 innings with over 170 strikeouts and an era around 2.7. He posted a 13-7 record in his time in Dothan.

The Center Hill, Florida native will look to do what he can to make the roster here soon.
