ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The ESCC softball complex is getting an update.
Along with replacing the safety net behind the catcher’s plate, the school is installing a new warning track. Along the backstop, they will be adding rocks to help make the ballpark a little more appealing.
Upgrades started about two weeks ago and they hope for everything to be completed next month just in time for the season to start.
“We’ve done a lot of updating to both playing surfaces, I’d put them up against some of the other schools in the state. We’ve made great strides to improve our facilities, which in turn, helps out our student-athletes,” ESCC Sports Information Director Bubba Frichter said.
The updates will also help with player safety which is important in all sports.
