ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The recent windy conditions felt more like football weather than baseball, but this weekend Enterprise will host its first youth baseball tournament of the 2019 season.
More than a dozen teams will be coming across Alabama and northwest Florida. Parks and Recreations Director Billy Powell says it’ll mean an economic benefit for the City of Progress.
Powell says that they have 26 diffrent tournaments this summer, and it starts with youth baseball. Enterprise parks’ and recreation personnel say they already have several hundred children who will take part in youth league play in both baseball and softball.
