Enterprise finishes construction on tennis courts and track field

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Contractors began working on now the Wildcats’ very own tennis courts and track field last spring.

The school added eight professional tennis courts and a full-sized Olympic track field. The new additions are for student-athletes’ use, but can only be used under the presence of a coach and not until their seasons begin, which is in January.

Students will have to wait a little while until they’re able to use them. A concession stand is still under construction.

“We’re going to have to sit here and stare at it for a little while and admire it, but once we get going, and our coaches are able to be out here with our students this is going to be in full use. Once they finally get here, it’ll be well worth the wait,” Principal Brent Harrison said.

Harrison said the concession stand will hopefully be completed by October. In total, the project cost $2 million.
