DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — For the third straight year a softball player from Emmanuel Christian will continue her talents at Judson College.
Next year, Jodi Anderson will join two of her former teammates in Lauren Atkinson and Reagan Thomas on the diamond.
This is something that Anderson believes will help her move and settle in at Judson.
“I think it will be really good, being able to adjust with all of it cause I already know some of the teammates that are gonna be on there cause I grew up playing ball with them. So I think it is gonna be a really good adjustment for me,” Anderson stated.
Judson is getting a player who dominated at the plate as Anderson had a .420 batting average in her time at Emmanuel. She also led the team in RBIs and stolen bases.
Moving into the college level, Anderson will use her versatility in the field to gain the coaches edge.
“I think it will give me an upper hand in that a coach can say, ‘Hey, I need you to play here,’ and I can just play the position,” Anderson said.
After her final season as a high schooler is cancelled, Anderson has been staying in shape doing her own workouts as well as hitting the cages.
She will be receiving a partial athletic scholarship from Judson.
