Dothan Wolves preparing to host first playoff game

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The 8-2 Wolves captured the Class 6A Region 2 crown.

Coach Grider and the Wolves will host the Spanish Fort Toros Friday night. The Toros finished fourth in Region 1.

Spanish fort has a rich tradition on the gridiron, and they’re coming to Dothan looking for an upset.

“Spanish fort is not your traditional fourth-seed. Their region they have five very good teams, and not easy games,” Grider said. “They have four or five guys who are D1 prospects”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday night at Rip Hewes Stadium.
