DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Earlier this week the Dothan Wolves were down three games after Georgia pushed back their season. Now the team has filled one of the slots against a mighty opponent.
On August 21st, the Wolves will travel up to Birmingham to play the Hoover Buccaneers.
Hoover is an elite program that is known throughout the state. The Buccaneers have won five state championships in the last decade.
This is a great challenge for coach Smitty Grider’s Wolves team.
“We are excited, you know you always want to measure yourself against the best. In our state they are recognized as one of the elite programs so we want to see where we are,” Grider said.
Before today, Dothan was scheduled to play against Park Crossing in an exhibition game on August 21st but now that game has been pushed back to the 28th.
