Desmond Lett named permanent head football coach at Daleville

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Interim Daleville head football coach Desmond Lett was named the permanent head man with the Warhawks.

The former Geneva County high football standout has been an assistant with Daleville for several years. He became the Warhawks’ fourth head coach. Despite low player numbers, Coach Lett believes he has a spirited group.

“We got several coaches who have been here and several new ones. The kids are reacting positively about our goal to finish,” Lett said.

The Warhawks will kick off their 2019 season at home on Friday, Aug. 23rd against the Elba Tigers.
