OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — A Carroll High School softball player signed her scholarship to play at the next level.
Senior shortstop Alexia Worley signed to play at Coastal Alabama East Community College in Brewton. Before the season was cut short due to the pandemic, Worley had a.517 batting average and a .588 on-base percentage. She scored 13 runs and drove in six runs while only striking out three times.
Worley explains why she chose Coastal Alabama.
“I haven’t really watched them but when I went to meet the coach and everything I just like how the environment was there,” She said.
Worley says she’s can’t wait for the next chapter but as for this upcoming season, she’s going to work on reducing her errors and having the highest batting average on the team.
