(WDHN) — The Ariton Purple Cats football team lost its first two games on the season. But ever since, they’ve been perfect winning ten straight and are on the road Friday night.
This week, the Purple Cats have been working overtime on the gridiron at Zumstein Stadium. They’re preparing for a perennial powerhouse Leroy.
The Bears’ and Purple Cats have identical 10-2 records. Ariton coach Steve Kilcrease talks about what he fears the most from the Bears.
“They got a really good back, Fikes number 3, he played against us a couple of years ago he’s a junior now. He’s good, he’s physical, and he’s got really good speed and he’s strong,” Kilcrease said.
The game is at Palmer Stadium in Leroy.
