ABBEVILLE, Ala (WDHN) — Thursday morning friends and family of Madisen Grimsley gathered in the cafeteria of Abbeville high to celebrate Grimsley inking her commitment to play at the next level.
She signed her intent letters to play basketball at Enterprise State Community College where she will play at both the four and five positions.
During her time at Abbeville, Grimsley shot 50 percent from the field which helped her average 12 points a game. She also averaged 10 rebounds a game which made her a double-double machine.
Another big part of Grimsley’s game is on the defensive end where she blocked about four shots a game for the Yellow Jackets.
“We found that Enterprise is close to home its just 55 minutes away and I visited and it was very nice. I really liked it and I enjoyed myself when I went so I feel like that is perfect place,” Grimsley said about her new home.
“She has a very good work ethic, she works hard and she is always concerned about wanting to do better and better,” Abbeville girl’s basketball coach Darryl Brooks said of Grimsley.
