AL.com reported that one of the state's top high school girls' basketball players has been ruled ineligible by the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
Charles Henderson's Maori Davenport is ranked by ESPN.com as one of the top 15 high school prospects in the country. Davenport reportedly took a check written by USA Basketball whom she played for last summer.
Maori is appealing the athletic association's decision to rule her ineligible. Next Fall, she'll be
playing for Rutgers University in new jersey.
