DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Zumba-Thon was held at the Dothan Athletic Club Saturday afternoon.

An estimate of about 100 people came out to celebrate the life of Angela Marie Di-Lillo. Di-Lillo recently passed away from lung cancer. During her battle, she wanted to start a foundation. The Zumba-Thon was considered a fundraiser to help kick off the funding for the foundation in progress.

The people who participated are fully involved in the mission to help.

“Everybody is really happy today. We have had people crying, cheering, we have had people in there just going to the floor leaving it all out there,” said Una Corbett-Taylor, a Zumba instructor. “We all love Angie, and we know what she stood for.”

The fundraiser will continue after this first year to help the Angela Di-Lillo Foundation.
