ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — An Elba man is facing a murder charge after police found a woman dead in a home Sunday.
Officers found Shaquetha Sharaey Tyson, 28, dead in a home on Adkinson Avenue while conducting a welfare check. When they couldn’t contact Tyson, officers got permission to enter the home from the property owner, leading to the discovery.
According to an EPD release, Tyson showed “obvious signs” of foul play. They quickly arrested suspect James Edward Lee, 49, on a murder charge with other charges pending.
The investigation is still active, and Elba police ask anyone within information on what happened to call their nearest law enforcement agency.
