There was a party of the century in the making at Somerset Assisted Living Home Thursday.
Ralph Givens, a retired army veteran who piloted C-47s in World War II, celebrated his 100th birthday.
After the meal prepared by the staff, Givens shared some tips for living a long life.
“The best way is to eat your wife’s cooking and live a life of happiness,” he said. “I think that will be the best thing you could do.”
Another secret Mr. Ralph revealed was a healthy dose of Dr. Pepper. Givens, a life-long resident of the Wiregrass, has two children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
