DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Wiregrass Hope Group provides several services to five counties across the area including free counseling and complimentary ultrasounds for expectant mothers.
In order to expand their services, they are expanding their space. The group recently purchased the building next door which will give them an extra 3,000 feet and some additional parking.
They have already raised $80,000 of their $300,000 goal, however, they need the community’s help in reaching that target by the first of the new year.
“We’re going to be able to expand on our baby boutique, so our present clients will be able to have more clothes with people,” Executive Director Amy Edge said. “We’re going to have a huge classroom, and then after the baby program, we’re going to be able to start is going to be awesome because we’re really going to be able to walk alongside this mom and this baby and help two generations at once.”
Wiregrass Hope Group is always in need of baby supplies. If you’d like to help, you can drop off donations at 171 Westgate Parkway in Dothan.
