DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Wiregrass Food Bank held a food drive Thursday at the McDonalds on Ross Clark across from Home Depot.
Mcdonald’s partnered with the Wiregrass Area Food Bank to help those who may need food for Thanksgiving — which is a week away.
The food drive accepted turkeys, canned goods, and any other non-perishable food items that will be beneficial.
Marketing and Community Outreach Director Eddie Byrd says the help so far has been tremendous.
“The plethora of turkeys has been outstanding. We’re so excited about that because we have the facilities at the food bank to have frozen foods,” Byrd said. “We can use a few more canned goods, but yes there are going to be a lot of happy people for Thanksgiving.”
If you want to help out with the food drive, you can donate to the Wiregrass Food Bank all holiday season.
