DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Exchange Center is holding a Superhero 5K Fundraiser on September 12th.
The profits from the fundraiser will go toward the exchange center’s prevention programs. The center offers programs for victims of violent relationships, children, or adults.
Here’s what director Pamela Miles had to say about why this fundraiser is so important for the center and the victims they help.
“But this is the fundraiser that funds all of our prevention services. When you run an agency like us where we do counseling services for survivors of child abuse and domestic violence you become very passionate about preventing abuse from happening because you hear the stories of these survivors and you see how tragically this abuse impacts their life over the course of their entire lifetime and kind of bleeds into every area,” Miles said.
The fundraiser will be September 12 at the Westgate BMX track.
