Wiregrass authorities searching for person of interest in arson investigation

GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — Wiregrass authorities are on the lookout for a former state prisoner who is now a person of interest in an arson case.

According to the Geneva Sheriff’s Office, Jonathan Miles, of Daleville, was seen shortly before a camper off County Road 56 in Coffee Springs burned to the ground.

Sheriff Helms sad Miles’ estranged girlfriend had been living there but wasn’t inside at the time of the blaze. Helms said Miles was recently released from the Alabama State Prison System.

Miles is 6’0 with a slender build and he’s known to several areas of Dale County.
