Warming shelters prepare to open as bitter cold approaches

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Several local warming shelters are preparing to open their doors as the Wiregrass prepares for the approaching cold weather.

According to Wiregrass 2-1-1, many shelters will be open on the evenings of Monday, January 20, and Tuesday, January 21. Volunteers and supplies are needed.

Dothan warming shelters open when temperatures are 28 degrees or below.
