DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – Come 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, many streets in Dothan will be lined with lawn chairs as locals vie for the best seat to catch flying moon pies and beads at the Krewe of Kolasse’s 7th annual Mardi Gras Parade.
This year organizers say the family-friendly parade will feature more than 30 floats as it winds its’ way through the garden district and eventually ending at Foster Street in downtown Dothan.
Krewe of Kolasse is a men’s Mardi Gras Society that started in Dothan in 2014. Each year, the group hosts a Mardi Gras parade in the Circle City on the Saturday before Ash Wednesday.
