DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – Gt ready to be inspired as Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan hosts its’ “Rooted” Women’s Conference. The conference is called “Rooted” because we believe that when a woman’s identity is rooted in Christ that she will have more confidence to live out God’s plan and purpose for her life.

Rooted will begin on Friday, February 28 at 6 p.m. with worship, door prizes, and an interview with Shari Rigby. On Friday night, local author and speaker, Christen Price will talk about our identities in Christ and what our minds believe is true about God, Satan, and how we view ourselves. Afterward, attendees will gather for community time with food from Zoe’s Kitchen.

Then on Saturday morning, conference members will have Chick-Fil-A for breakfast, two inspiring messages from Shari Rigby, and the event will end at noon on Saturday, February 29. Women will leave feeling inspired and ready to take the next step in living out their purpose!

Hear from special guest Shari Rigby, actress from the movies “Overcomer” with Priscilla Shirer and “October Baby” with Dothan native, Rachel Hendrix. Shari is an actress who recognizes that her calling in life is to give God glory by teaching women to get rooted in God’s destiny for their life. She will share about how God has turned her brokenness as a teenage mother into a story of redemption and hope as she lives out her calling for Christ.
