Alabama woman killed in hit and run; suspect still on the run

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WDHN) – An Alabama woman was killed in a hit and run accident, while her killer remains on the loose. The hit and run happened Saturday night after 8 p.m. on Front Beach Road near Sharky’s Restaurant.

The unidentified victim, a white female from Alabama, was allegedly crossing the road when she was struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene heading in a westbound direction.

According to authorities, the vehicle is believed to be a dark colored extended cab truck, possibly Chevrolet or GMC model. The suspect’s truck may have a ladder or ladder rack on top. The unidentified truck may also have a business decal/magnet on the driver door.
