Alabama Extension Office hosts Youth Wildlife Day

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – If you are looking for an activity the entire family can enjoy centered on outdoors and nature, then you may want to head to Landmark Park this weekend. Have you ever wanted your child to have the opportunity to learn archery, marksmanship and angling? Join the Alabama Extension Office for a day of outdoor family fun! Learn about nature conservation, wildlife and a chance to win prizes. Enjoy a live animal meet and greet, youth BB gun shooting range, fish casting practice, youth archery range, “Skins and Skulls” demo, reptile presentation and an inflatable jump house.

Youth Wildlife Day will be held at the Stokes Activity Barn on February 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free for park members and ages 15 and under. $4 for adults. Local food truck vendors will be on site.

This event is sponsored by National Wildlife Turkey Federation, Michelin and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
