(WDHN) — Volunteers are needed to help count the homeless in the Wiregrass area next Saturday.

Each year the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development asks communities across the nation to count the homeless, it is called the annual point in time count.

Volunteer groups will be assigned geographic areas to count the Wiregrass homeless.

Starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Harbor located at 320 North Foster Street, the count should be finished around noon and 1:30 p.m.
