Troy man charged with a dozen counts of identity theft


TROY, Ala. (WDHN) – A Troy man has been arrested and charged with twelve counts of identity theft.

32-year-old Douglas Aaron Aldridge was arrested by Troy Police Friday.

All twelve counts of identity theft that Aldridge is charged with were obtained from the stolen identity of two victims.

Aldridge was booked into the Pike County Jail. His bond was set at $60,000 dollars.

The Troy Police Department strongly encourages people to guard your personal data with care and to actively monitor your credit card and bank accounts for fraudulent activity and to properly dispose of sensitive mail and other documents.
