CONSUMER ALERT: Toy Story 4 ‘Forky’ Toys recalled for choking hazard

News

(WDHN) — A new plush toy modeled after the character Forky from Toy Story 4 was recalled Monday for being hazardous to children.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the toy’s trademark “googly” eyes can come off, which could present a choking hazard.

Upon discovery of the danger the toy could pose, Disney Merchandise Sourcing & Distribution, LLC recalled around 80,000 units in America and 650 units in Canada of the Forky plush toy, manufactured by Dream International Limited, Co. in Hong Kong.

The toy was sold at “Disney Stores nationwide, Disney Theme Parks, online at shopdisney.com and through the Disney store on Amazon Marketplace from April 2019 through June 2019.”

As of now, the commission reports that there have been no incidents involving the toy.

If you happen to own a Forky toy with the following tracking numbers, the commission encourages you to take the toy back to any Disney retailer for a refund.
