DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — More information has been released on the manhunt that ended in the parking lot of Adventureland Monday evening.

According to a press release, the hunt for the suspect happened after 4:30 p.m. after Ozark-Dale County E911 got a call about a stolen car in Clayhatchee.

The car’s owner told law enforcement that he was trying to sell his orange Camaro through Facebook’s Marketplace. The press release states the owner was showing the suspect the car on East Main Street when he “jumped into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive off.”

In the process, the victim ended up getting dragged for a few feet while the suspect got away, suffering some minor injuries.

E911 then sent an alert out about the car, an orange Camaro, to the surrounding counties.

Eventually, a Houston County deputy saw the car on West Main Street and tried to stop it.

This is when the high-speed chase began, leading to a foot chase toward Westgate Park when the car crashed.

However, the chase ended when law enforcement apprehended their suspects: three juveniles and an adult in the parking lot of Adventureland.

The adult suspect has been identified as Kevone Smith, 18, of Dothan. He was booked into the Dale County Jail and charged with first-degree theft of property.

More charges are expected.
