BARBOUR COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Authorities have arrested a man in the death of Daleville resident Orchid Bolin, found dead on March 6.

However, this isn’t the first time he’s run into law enforcement because of violent crime.

According to authorities, Mitchell Doster, 41, was out on a bail for murder for the 2017 death of Ricky Dease, and according to the Dothan Eagle, Mitchell was also charged with murder in 1998 in Coffee County.

He pleaded guilty in 1999 to manslaughter for that crime and was sentenced to 16 years in state prison.

More recently, he was also arrested for jumping bail on February 4. Bolin was last seen in early February.

“(Dale County) actually has a hold put on him for us so he can be charged with the murder of Orchid  Bolin,” Investigator Tracy Reese said.

According to Reese, they put together a task force after they received the missing person report from her dad. On March 5. they executed a search warrant at her last location.

After that search warrant, some interviews were done, and her body was located.
