DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A high speed chase ended in multiple injuries in downtown Dothan Sunday night.

An Alabama State Trooper was in pursuit of a Lincoln sedan into the city. The chase ended at the corner of Fortner Street and South Alice Street.

The vehicle crashed into the fence that surrounds a recreation field for the Boys and Girls Club. This is just west of the downtown Dairy Queen location.

Dothan firefighters worked for at least 20 minutes to remove the suspects from the vehicle.

Two people were transported to a Dothan hospital. One patient was able to walk with some assistance from the vehicle.

Alabama State Troopers are expected to release more information at a later time.
