WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two elderly citizens, according to a press release.
The two Dumajack Road residents were found dead by a family member at their home Wednesday. According to the sheriff’s office, it appears they died in a murder-suicide.
“This investigation is in its very early stages,” Sheriff Kevin Crews said. “We have reason to believe, at this time, that the wife shot her husband, then shot herself.”
Ronald Plowe, 91, and Robyn Plowe, 78, were supposed to go to a doctor’s appointment that morning. The family member was called in by a friend after the couple didn’t come to the door.
More information is expected as the 14th Judicial Circuit Medical Examiner conducts the final toxicology and autopsy reports.
