ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise police have arrested a suspect in the murder of an Enterprise man last Saturday.

Jason Taylor Montgomery, 36, was found dead Saturday from a gunshot wound to the chest after officers were called to Hidden Glen Apartments at 1:30 a.m. for a shooting.

At 4:30 p.m. Friday, detectives arrested Laquenton Decraig Sheridan, 37, of Enterprise on a reckless murder charge. A court complaint states Sheridan fired his weapon at least five times before hitting Montgomery.

Court records show Sheridan pleaded guilty for firing into an occupied building back in 2010, having served three years of a suspended 15-year sentence.

No other information is expected to be released from the Enterprise Police Department while the investigation continues.
