The Ordinary People Society (T.O.P.S.) holds Get Out To Vote Block Party

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Ordinary People Society (T.O.P.S.) is urging residents to make their voices heard this election.

Friday afternoon, the group held a Get Out and Vote block party.

The organization is targeting marginalized communities in order to educate people about their right to vote, how to register to vote, and the importance of their vote.

All of which is information that T.O.P.S. says is critical during this election year.

“People died for you to vote, it’s your responsibility to vote,” organizer Latisha Jackson said. “It is your civic right to vote and we want you to participate in this election because your very life and the very lives of your children and your children’s children depend on it.”

WDHN’s full interview with T.O.P.S. organizers can be watched above.
