ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The city of Enterprise has started the prep work for a new terminal building at the Enterprise Municipal Airport.
The facility is expected to increase business air traffic into the western Wiregrass. According to Mayor William Cooper, an industry looking to relocate will look at transportation opportunities.
Mayor Cooper says it’s important that Enterprise has the infrastructure in place to demonstrate the town is open for business.
“It’s very important that we have an airport that is workable and provide business an aviation option. This is going to be a plus for us,” Mayor Cooper said.
The airport expansion and improvements including a one and a half million dollar FAA grant will help with the new terminal along with improvements to the taxiway.
