ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Recently, Enterprise received the honor of being a “Main street” city — which is a public/private partnership to heighten the appeal of the downtown district.
Today, a delegation of state main officials and consultants held a “Question and answer” session for business owners and residents.
As retail continues to re-open from COVID-19, several downtown shop owners say their customers are looking to avoid “Big box stores” and crowds.
“Do the social distancing the way it needs to be done, to protect people, to make the community feel safe. In their environment and downtown has the best opportunity because it’s already small your not going to have 500 people in a store,” Alabama Main Street Director Mary Helme said.
Main Street personnel also provide advice for downtown businesses on appearances and marketing strategies.
