School traffic at local school sends parents in a frenzy

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — School is back in session, and the carpool line can get a little crazy.

At Dothan Prep Academy Wednesday afternoon, that was the scene as family members picked up their loved ones. The carpool line was at a standstill for nearly 20-30 minutes and maybe even longer before moving an inch.

One resident was frustrated with the traffic, but some parents think it’ll work out soon.

“My husband just came from the store around the corner and it took him 45 minutes. I mean what do we do time when we go to the store? It’s just ridiculous,” Anonymous nearby homeowner said.

“I’m coming to pick my sister up from 7th grade, and I’ve been sitting here for about 25 minutes,” Cooper Lambert said.

“I think we’ve gotta give them time to get it situated. Sure it’s frustrating to all of us parents but it’s new to everybody,” Lisha Walker said.

Many of the people expressed that Dothan Prep Academy needs to find a solution to cut down the traffic.
