SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN) — Meanwhile in Samson, several squalls from Sally created ponding and flash flooding along Highway 52.
Volunteer firefighters were called in to clear downed trees and to rescue those whose cars became stuck in flood waters.
Unofficial reports say eight inches of rain fell from midnight to ten a.m. Wednesday morning.
“We have two fire crews out to cut trees,” Samson paramedic Billy Chancey said. “We have two crews standing by at this time.”
