ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Sam Boswell Honda held a biannual flag retirement ceremony that was open to the public Friday evening.
Once the old flag is worn out, military groups and organizations hang a new flag to fly over Sam Boswell Honda. The ceremony featured representatives from Enterprise’s VFW Post 6683, the Wiregrass Wounded Veterans Committee, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 , and more.
Honda employees found the ceremony very important to their business.
“We wanted to show respect to the military and the flag. Half of our business consists of military, so we wanted to show thanks for what we have,” Sales Manager Josh Byal said.
The ceremony is held twice a year. The first ceremony falls within the winter months of the year, and the second ceremony is held on Flag Day, June 14th.
