DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — School is right around the corner and the Salvation Army is helping kids in need with school supplies.
The Salvation Army set up stations in both Walmarts in Dothan Saturday for you to drop by and donate school supplies or money if you choose to.
Although all school supplies are accepted, supplies most needed were colored pencils, binders, pencils, and notebooks. The Salvation Army wanted to show their love for others.
“They’re a great organization, we do things to help the less fortunate. Anybody can fall in those times, we have hurricane victims. They may be rich, but they’ll lose everything. Anytime in need, that’s what we’re there for,” Lamar Aplin said.
The school supplies will be given out at the Back to School bash on August 19th.
