GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — The 44th annual “Festival on the Rivers” will be held in Geneva on April 26th-28th.
The festival will be at the junction in Robert Fowler Park where the Pea and Choctawhatchee Rivers merge.
With state funding assistance, Mayor Frankie Lindsey and the Geneva City Council hope to soon repave the entrance way into Fowler Park. The park is home to one of the oldest oak trees in North America.
“Robert Fowler Park attracts thousands of tourists for folks who want to see our big, old oak tree. The park is very Important,” Mayor Lindsey said.
The public boat ramp at Fowler Park will not be affected by the park paving project scheduled for later this year.
