Person posing as Southeast Health official makes false claim patient tested positive for COVID-19


DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Southeast Health official is debunking a rumor that a patient tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the hospital, “a person pretending to represent Southeast Health has called at least one media outlet saying we have had a positive coronavirus patient. This report is false. Any information concerning coronavirus will come in an official statement from Southeast Health Public Relations. Please keep in mind any positive coronavirus test results will only be communicated from the Alabama Department of Public Health.”
