OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting says Dale County has a smaller population rate than neighboring Houston County, but they are catching up with their amount of COVID-19 cases.
Bunting says no one knows if masks will be the thing that turns the situation around, but right now, it’s one of the only ways people have to protect themselves.
“We are one of the hottest beds of coronavirus in the whole the united states right now. You, you got to, you know I don’t know what to do I could get on my knees and just beg everybody to try to do better wearing the mask,” Bunting said.
Dale County has 713 COVID cases and 17 reported deaths. Houston County has 1,139 cases and 11 deaths.
