Ozark man killed in three-vehicle crash

BRUNDIDGE, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ozark man is dead after his truck collided with two other vehicles on U.S. 231 Monday evening.

Around 5:15 p.m., Jerry Wayne Vance Jr., 43, was driving his 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 south when he entered the opposing lane, hitting a 2016 Freightliner a half-mile north of Brundidge.

Vance died in the crash while the Freightliner’s driver was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center for nonlife-threatening injuries. The third vehicle that got caught in the crash, a 2018 Toyota Highlander, suffered minor damage.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is still investigating the incident.
