Ozark holds Autism Awareness Forum

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — The Beacon of Hope behavioral consultation facility in Ozark held an “Autism awareness” forum for parents of children who’ve been diagnosed with the condition.

Monday, the Enterprise Autism social group will provide a first responder’s training session that will teach them about autism and what to look out for.

“It is geared for first responders to let them know if someone with autism may act up, and a way for them that they can get help,” Shelby Dipila said.

The autism awareness for first responders will take place next Monday at the beacon of hope on Andrews Avenue in Ozark.
