DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Peanut Festival Fairgrounds will be shooting fireworks Saturday night at 9.
People will be encouraged to stay in their vehicles for social distancing. If rain is in the forecast, they still plan on shooting fireworks even if they have to move it to Sunday.
“Right at showtime, we’ll wait for the rain to stop unless it looks like it’s going to be an hour or two event. If for any reason we can’t shoot on Saturday, we’re gonna shoot on Sunday,” National Peanut Festival Board Member Jason Rudd said.
Rudd says he recommends showing up earlier for a better spot to see the fireworks.
