DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan and Northview high school seniors had the chance to meet local employers at career day Monday morning.
The job fair was put together by the partnership between Dothan City Schools, the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Alabama Works and the Dothan Education Foundation.
The event gave businesses who are looking for full and part-time employees a chance to find students who may not want to enter the workforce after graduation. Also, it gave students an opportunity to work with teachers before the event to prepare their resumes.
“It means that teachers actually are looking forward to you succeeding and not looking on your downfalls. These teachers do not care if you’re a good or bad student, they will do all they can to help you succeed,” Northview senior Adriana Wright said.
The career fair gave students who will be graduating in a few weeks the chance to prepare for the real world.
