New drug to treat opioid overdose


Drug overdose has surpassed car accidents as the leading cause of death of people under the age of 50 in America. That is why the Alabama Department of Public Health is taking strides to stop the problem. 

Sergeant Trent Blair at the Houston County Sheriffs Department speaks about a new emergency drug that can stop the effects of an opioid overdose, and gives a demonstration on how the device works.
