NEW BROCKTON, Ala (WDHN) — Last night, Yuletide music could be heard inside the New Brockton High School Auditorium.

The Christmas concert was supposed to held in December but was canceled due to the large number of students who either had COVID or were quarantined, with social distancing requirements in effect, the junior high band held a concert for their families.

After disinfecting the auditorium, the high school band held its concert.

“Instead of just completely cancelling this, the students have worked so hard that I thought even though we are playing Christmas music and that’s what we’ve worked on we’re gonna go and give a performance and we have a majority of our students back from quarantine.” New Brockton High School Band Director, Ron Gresco said.

In a little more than a year from now, the spring of 2022, the New Brockton High School band plans to perform at Universal Studios Resort in Orlando.
