UPDATE #2 (WDHN) — Dothan Police are asking for the public’s help in solving Sunday’s fatal shooting in the 900 block of Morris Street.
According to a news release Sunday night, officers arrived on the scene of the shooting shortly after 4:00 p,m. Sunday afternoon and found Willis Rambo, Jr., 20, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
“Officers and Paramedics performed life saving treatment on Rambo but efforts were unsuccessful. Rambo was pronounced dead at the scene,” the news release stated.
Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is asked to call DPD at 334-793-0215 or call Crimestoppers anonymously at 334-793-7000.
Police provided no information on the people detained shortly after the shooting in their release around 9:45 p,m.

UPDATE #1 (WDHN) — The victim in Sunday afternoon’s fatal shooting is Willis Rambo, Jr., 20., according to WDHN News sources close to the investigation.
Police said several people have been detained for questioning in the investigation, but no official arrests had been made as of Sunday evening.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan Police investigators are on the scene of a fatal shooting Sunday evening. Initial reports from dispatch indicated a firearm assault occurred around 4:15pm Sunday afternoon in the vicinity of Morris Street and South Range Street.
Police officers responded to the scene along with Dothan Fire and medical personnel.
No other information is available at this time as investigators comb the area looking for clues into what happened. No immediate word on arrests was available from police.
